Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
The service
Vetrail is software for recording and managing third-party (vendor) risk information. You use it to maintain a vendor register, send security questionnaires, record responses, and export the results. These terms apply to everyone who creates an account.
No advice
Vetrail provides templates, self-assessment tools, and structure. It does not provide legal, compliance, audit, or professional advice, and it does not certify or determine that you or any vendor satisfies any law, regulation, standard, or framework. Scores, ratings, tiers, and mappings are informational aids. All conclusions, decisions, and representations you make to customers, auditors, or regulators are yours alone.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, for keeping credentials secure, and for the actions of users you add to your organization. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
Your data
Data you enter remains yours. You can export a complete copy of your organization's data at any time from the Team page. We do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for how it is handled.
Acceptable use
Do not use Vetrail to break the law, to send unsolicited bulk email, to upload malicious code, to attempt to access other organizations' data, or to place unreasonable load on the service.
Availability and standard terms
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not currently offer negotiated service level agreements, custom data processing agreements, or bespoke security reviews; these standard terms apply to all accounts equally. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above. You may stop using the service and export your data at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
